Tribal jewellery is an intricate part of social custom, culture, religious practice and identity of different tribes. And Odisha is home to many tribes and traditional art forms. Skilled artisans of Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and Nabarangpur are making various types of traditional jewellery like necklace, earrings, nose ring, neckpiece, bangles, anklets, hairclip etc. for years. These jewellery are made up of almunium, brass, copper, silver etc.

Brass jewellery are the oldest form of metal casting which is made using lost wax method. It means molten metal takes place of wax to form a shape. From collecting wax to metal casting; the process is difficult and time consuming.
